Light Oat Bread




















The Recipe: For 1.5 lb loaf

1 1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast (only need 1 tsp here in the altitude)

Add ingredients to bread machine pan in order recommended by your manufacturer. Use regular light setting.

I gave this a try today (modified to 2.5 C flour and 1 C oats) and it's quite good. First time our bread machine was used with a recipe instead of a prepared mix. Thanks for this!

I might have to try that modification. I bet I would like it with more oat. I am glad you enjoyed it!
